Exclusive 'Neo Bolera' workshop with Henry Rodriguez
Exclusive workshop on Escuela Bolera: ‘Neo Bolera’
Do you know the art of dancing with castanets and the most popular Spanish dance genre that originated in the late 18th and early 19th century? This would be the Escuela Bolera!
In the workshop ‘Neo Bolera’ we will fuse elements of Flamenco and Modern Dance into the style of the Escuela Bolera. You will learn the foundation of this classical Spanish dance through basic movements and variations and how to coordinate your dance with the play of the castanets.
This Beginners workshop has a special focus on conserving the essence of this very discipline, based on the mastery of the language, style, and repertoire of the Escuela Bolera.
Important: Castanets are included! (no need to bring your own)
Level: This is a Beginners workshop on the Escuela Bolera, although students of all levels of Ballet and Modern Dance (Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced) are of course welcome to attend and get to know this style of dance.
Footwear requirement: middle pointe or soft ballet shoes. Socks are also fine.
The maximum capacity per day (per workshop) is 20 people.
